OK. Yes, still desperate...(Snaps 8,9,10-21)

OK. Yes, truly desperate. Hey, I need to get out more. Anyway, yes, chased and cornered another co-worker. Hey, what can I say. Barbara started working with us a couple of years or so ago. One of our veterean, well-seasoned coworkers remarked, She's just about perfect. Yes, and she has lived up to that. Two of the snaps are of course of Barbara....the third, hey, what can I say....a reprobate wandered in. Hey, remember, I'm desperate.

Hey, he couldn't get away....(Snap #7-17)

My brother will now be able to breathe. Yep, for many years doctors told him his difficulties were because of allergies. The fellow who operated on him claimed he was just jammed-up. We will soon know.
I missed out on a snap with all of the tubes and things. Yep, by the time I got there with my camera he was dressed and ready to go.

Sadly, this lady may now be soulless.....(Snap #6-18)

Yes, I'm almost ashamed to admit it; however, I chased down another coworker...cornered her and she had no way to further retreat. As is universally known, taking someone's snap can steal their soul. I'm not sure how you tell when a soul's been stolen. I have yet to see a soul on an anatomy chart. It would seem that if you can't tell it's there, you couldn't tell if it's not there. Oh, well.
Trying to ward me off....fend me off, she did the only she could. Asking for mercy, she held up a photo of her daughter. And, yes...that stopped me in my tracks. I could do no further harm.

Yes, this is truly painful.....(Snap #3-17)

Women always say that childbirth is the most painful thing that you will ever experience. Yes, that might be true. However, for some of us it's havin' your pitcher took..............

The macro function seems to work well...... (Snap #2-12)

This is a snap I took the night I got the camera. Hey, it sure ain't great but it's going to count. Macro seems to work well..... think this was 400.

Well everything arrived as scheduled.....now what??? (Snap #1 -11)

Well, camera and memory arrived as promised. I bought the camera from PopFlash...crazy kinda name, hey... The folks there were pleasant and helpful and did everything they said they would. Also, they had a special of sorts that included a free camera case that retails for about $40. At present there are only two places in The States that you can buy this camera.

Anyway, where was I? OK. Got the camera, now what?

The camera is slick, best way to describe it. Tiny. Nicely built. Great screen. And, lots of flexibility in using manual controls. The clip-on viewfinder is terrific. Small, bright, and easily usable with glasses. There seems to be an adjustment for just about everything. Though I went through the handbook, I'm still pretty much clueless.

Sooooo, snapped a few pictures and played them back in the camera. Seemed OK.

Now, the next problem. My regular computer just became consumed with viruses to the point where it stopped working. Hooked up the one that I'd stopped using......anyway. Loaded the Ricoh software and using a really primitive processing software I did manage to come up with a snap of The Moose. The funny thing...I processed it ? about 700X800 pixels but I couldn't get it to display on the screen at that size. Anyway, it seems that it will display at about 200x200, and can click on for a larger image.

Though it doesn't seem all that sharp....my process was simple. Think I had set ASA400 (though not sure) and have no idea what the other in-camera settings were. Ran it through Photo Deluxe; automatic contrast and brightness, cropped it...and that was that. On my other computer I had used Elements.

Anyway, that's where I am at the moment. I'm going to continue on and see how things go.
